N = Non-qualifying vehicle (No VAT charged or claimable)
C = Commercial vehicle (VAT is added to the Sale Price)

VAT Qualifying Vehicle  (QUAL)
'VAT Qualifying' cars are typically from leasing or contract hire companies in which case VAT is shown as a separate element of the total sale price.  VAT registered buyers purchasing for a qualifying purposes can then recover the VAT.

In all other cases ('Margin Cars') the VAT is not shown and cannot be recovered.

VAT is generally NOT added to the sale price unless they are commercial vans, trucks or plant and equipment.
